It was another great 1 Million Cups – Irvine ( #1MCIrvine ) meetup this week and we were again introduced to two new companies. We also increase out RSVP count thanks to Ryan Foland, and his Ryan Says (it is) Very Polite persuading everyone to head over to the group’s Meetup page and register so we have plenty of coffee. And once again we enjoyed several teas, courtesy of Teamotions. Dru Blake was on hand once more as ring leader.
Assist is a new app for iOS which could best be described as the match.com for Entrepreneurs. Cofounders Evan Leong and Vincent Vitale explained that their goal is to connect users together to find other entrepreneurs or subcontractor within seconds of signing up. It’s easy and it’s simple and can be found in the iOS App store by searching for assist Community.
Major Mike McDowell, an active duty Marine, and Ravi Bellamkonda introduced us to a RightAisle, a shopping service for anyone who has more shopping than time. Mike also emphasiozed that another primary goal of the venture was to provide job opportunities for shoppers working full or part time as their individual schedules allowed. He continued, “We intend on providing ‘customers’ their favorite retail products as a shopping service as well as employment opportunities for people within their communities.”
As always look for us to feature Assist Community and RightAilse in upcoming Entrepreneur Spotlight posts.
